Dargelos products are unique and identifiable; highly functional and distilled to their essential form. As city cyclists, we make products we need - ones that work for the ride and look good for work.
Audrey Robinson, a year-round bicycle commuter since 1998, was inspired by the growing acceptance and support for biking in New York City, as well as the increasing interest in sustainable practices by the fashion industry. She returned to school to study fashion at Parsons and in 2010, she launched Dargelos. In 2011, Dargelos joined the Pratt Design Incubator for Sustainable Innovation in Brooklyn's Navy Yard.

Every product is made in Brooklyn, New York. We consciously strive to use materials that are sustainable, excellent quality and made in the U.S.A.- this is definitely challenging and sometimes choosing local over organic is necessary. The following information is a list of our materials and efforts:
• Lightning Vest: Material manufactured in Brownwood, Texas and customized/ converted in Rhode Island. Waste is minimized by design and re-purposed into accessories.
• Trans//Porter, Snap:Pack and Belt/Pouch: 100% waxed cotton canvas, imported cotton, waxed in New Jersey. Linen or hemp when sourcing is possible.
• Zippers, Snaps and Hardware: YKK and Rome Fastener Corporation, made in the U.S.A and Canada.
• Bandanas and labels: 100% organic cotton, made in Japan. Printed in Brooklyn, NY.
• Packaging: Recyclable #4 Poly mailers, recycled tissue paper and packing slips are printed on recycled paper.
